Green tea extract(tea polyphenols) is a natural antioxidant extracted from green tea, it contains flavanols, flavanones, flavonols and their glycosides etc. As one of flavanols among them, catechins is the most active component, made up 60-80% of total amount of polyphenols. It is widely used in the food, comestic, chemicals, etc as an ideal replacement of BHA, BHT. Meanwhile, antioxidants have been shown to prevent damage caused by free radicals to DNA and other molecules.
